Tongue cut off and offered in temple during Navratri, found unconscious

Morena (Madhya Pradesh): Today, strange devotion has been seen in the famous Mata Basaiya temple in Chambal region. Here a devotee cut his tongue and offered it in the court of Mother Goddess. When other devotees who came to see Mata in the morning saw her lying in an unconscious state, they informed the police. The police kept him in the vehicle and sent him to the district hospital for treatment. Whether the young man cut his tongue out of devotion to his mother or there was some other reason is not known at the moment. The police is investigating the matter

There is an ancient temple of Kali Mata in Mata Basaiya police station area of the district. Today on Monday morning, Satish son of Mehtab Singh Jatav, a resident of Tiwari, had left the house asking to go to Mata Basaiya temple. On the way, he told his father that he would cut his tongue and offer it to his mother, but he paid no attention to his words. The father says, ‘Satish often used to say that one day he would cut off his tongue and offer it in the court of Kali Mata, so I did not pay heed to his words.’ When Ramniwas Sharma reached the court of Kali Mata for worship, there But a young man was lying unconscious, soaked in blood. He immediately informed the police.

As soon as the news was received, ASI Yogendra Bhadauria from the police station reached the spot. They picked up the unconscious youth from the ground, placed him in the vehicle and took him to the district hospital for treatment. He has been admitted here. ASI Yogendra Singh Bhadauria told that, this morning a young man was found in an unconscious state in the court of Kali Mata. On enquiry, it was found that the name of this youth is Satish Jatav resident Tiwari Ka Pura. His tongue is cut. He has been admitted to the district hospital for treatment. Right now he is not in a position to speak. The reasons for which he bit his tongue are being investigated.
