Traffic awareness: Training of traffic rules to cadets and school children in Raigarh
Raigarh. Raigarh. Under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Divyang Kumar Patel and Additional Superintendent of Police Akash Markam, Traffic Police Raigarh organized a special program in the Police Community Building today and taught traffic rules and traffic management to cadets of NSS, NCC and Scout-Guide. On this occasion, Head Constable Mukesh Chauhan and Vijay Sidar trained the cadets on smooth traffic management, action on traffic violations, and correct use of equipment. The objective of the program was to prepare the cadets to take up responsibilities as traffic wardens and traffic volunteers. This will give them practical experience of field work and communicating with people. Under the traffic awareness campaign, an effort was also made to make students aware of traffic in Swami Atmanand Government School Kotra. Assistant Sub Inspector Premsai Bhagat and Head Constable Hem Sundar Sahu taught important rules related to road safety to school children. ASI Bhagat said that only valid license holders are eligible to drive two-wheelers and four-wheelers. He told the students that 1. Use zebra crossing while crossing the road. 2. Always walk on the footpath and avoid running on the road.
- Follow traffic signals and signs.
- Use of helmet and seat belt is compulsory in the vehicle.
- Drivers should not use mobile phones while driving, stop them for this.
- For a safe journey, everyone should follow the instructions of the traffic police.
- Drive within the prescribed speed limit.
- Be extra cautious at blind turns and crossings.
- Small children should not go alone on the road.
This initiative is an effort to develop a sense of responsibility in youth and children towards road safety, so that the traffic system in the city can become more smooth.
