Tragic incident: 6 children died due to drowning in the pond while bathing

Haryana. A painful accident took place in Gurugram on Sunday. In fact, 6 children died due to drowning in a pond in Gurugram’s Sector-111 amid heavy rains. According to the information, all the children drowned while taking bath in the rain drain of the area. Later, the bodies of all the children were recovered during the search. While giving information in this matter, the police said that among those who drowned, all six were boys, whose age is said to be between 8 and 13 years. Police said that the bodies of all the children have been recovered. The deceased have been identified as Durgesh, Ajit, Rahul, Piyush, Deva and Varun. All the children were residents of Shankar Vihar Colony and had gone to bathe in the pond on Sunday afternoon. On receiving information about the incident, teams of police, State Disaster Response Force, Civil Defence, National Disaster Response Force and fire brigade personnel were sent to the spot. Later the dead bodies were taken out of the pond. This campaign lasted for 4 hours. Police said that all the bodies have been sent to the civil hospital and the postmortem will be done on Monday. Gurugram Deputy Commissioner of Police Nishant Kumar Yadav said that Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar has announced a compensation of two lakh rupees each for the families of the deceased. The Deputy Commissioner of Police said that this is a very unfortunate incident. He said that such temporary ponds would be identified and their water would be drained so that such accidents do not happen in future.
