Tribals became furious outside the forest department office, know why there was ruckus

Gariaband: There is immense anger in the tribal community after the death of a tribal man who was jailed on encroachment charges. On Monday, people of the society had blocked the National Highway. Today, hundreds of tribal community people have again blocked Tiranga Chowk and angry people came to surround the Forest Department office. During this time, heavy police forces were deployed but the protesters broke the barricades and reached the forest office and created a ruckus. The protesters are adamant on demanding action against the guilty Forest Department officers.

Let us tell you that on August 29, Gariaband Forest Division had admitted Bhojram, resident of Jhitari Doomar of Gariaband range, to Gariaband sub jail on charges of encroachment. His health deteriorated the very next day of his admission to jail. Seeing his condition worsening, his treatment was started and he was sent to Mekahara Raipur for better treatment. He died on Monday during treatment. After the death, the people of the society have become angry and are demanding suspension of the forest officer and compensation to the family of the deceased.
