Truck crushes BSP worker

Bhilai : A BSP personnel going on shift duty last night under Khursipar police station area was hit by a truck near Khursipar gate. In this accident, the BSP worker died on the spot. Khursipar police has arrested the accused truck driver and seized the truck. Khursipar police station in-charge Umed Kumar Tandon said that the deceased R Koteshwar Rao, father R Bhima Naidu (52 years), resident of NAV Quarter No. 1F, in front of Balaji Nagar Khursipar, had left home on a bicycle last night to go for shift duty.

Near Khursipar Gate around 10 pm, the driver of truck number CG 08 Z 9425, while driving carelessly, hit cyclist Koteshwar Rao. Due to which the BSP personnel died on the spot. After the information, the body was sent by the police to Supela Hospital and while taking action against the accused, under crime number 234/23 section 279, 304 A, the accused driver Uttam Sahu, father Shatrughan Sahu (29 years), resident of Gota Matra police station Nandini Nagar district Durg. The truck has been arrested and confiscated.
