Truck set ablaze in Barotiwala
BBN. There was a loss of about Rs 16 lakh in two separate incidents of arson under the industrial area Barotiwala. A truck suddenly caught fire in the parking lot of Barotiwala Truck Union, due to which the truck was burnt to ashes.
In another incident, a transformer caught fire near SBI Bank in Jharmajri, causing a loss of about one and a half rupees. Fire station Baddi brought the fire under control after a lot of efforts at the spot as soon as the information was received.
According to the information, at around 2.30 am last night, a truck parked in the parking lot of Barotiwala Truck Union suddenly caught fire. Due to the fire, the engine cabin and tires of the truck were completely burnt to ashes.
Truck owner Gurjit Kumar, resident of Nalagarh, is said to have suffered a total loss of Rs 15 lakh due to the arson. Another arson incident took place in Shivalik Nagar Jharmajri where a 250 KVA transformer of State Electricity Board near SBI Bank suddenly caught fire. As soon as the fire broke out, there were two to three loud explosions in the transformer.
