TS government issues order to cancel appointments of consultants
Hyderabad: The state government canceled the nomination of seven key advisors and their extension with effect from December 7, the day the new government was sworn in. Chief Secretary A Shanthi Kumari issued GO MS No. 1616 to this effect on Friday.
These include the appointment of former Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar as Principal Advisor to the Prime Minister and Chennamaneni Ramesh as Principal Advisor on Agriculture.
Other cancellations mention the extension of Rajiv Sharma’s tenure as Principal Advisor to the government. Orders extending his appointment as counselor were issued on August 17 this year. The appointment of Anurag Sharma as advisor on police, public order and crime control was also cancelled. His proposal was approved by the previous government in October this year.
Similarly, he also canceled the orders of appointment of AK Khan as Minority Welfare Advisor, GR Reddy as Finance Advisor and R Shobha as Forest Affairs Advisor issued by the previous government.
