Turkey decided to recall the ambassador

Tel Aviv: Turkey’s Foreign Ministry has decided to recall its ambassador to Israel for consultations after Israel rejected a ceasefire and cut off humanitarian aid to Gaza.

Israel has already mentioned its ambassador to Türkiye.

“Turkish Ambassador to Israel Sakir Ozkan Torunler has been recalled,” Turkey’s foreign minister said.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said he would break ties with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over the crackdown on Hamas.

Erdogan defended Hamas’ attack on October 7, saying that Hamas is a liberation group.

Following the attack, Israel recalled all diplomats from Turkey and other countries in the region.
