Two arrested for trying to sell ambergris worth Rs 5 crore
Kochi: Two people were arrested with 8.7 kg of whale vomit (ambergris) worth Rs 5 crore in Palakkad, Kerala. KN Vaishakh and N Rahul, natives of Palakkad, were arrested by the DRI-Forest Department team. The incident occurred at midnight on Saturday. The accused told that they had informed that a customer named Vikram would come. When the investigation team called Vikram’s phone, it was switched off. The ambergris was given to the accused by a female friend of Chavakkadu. He claims that the ambergris was kept by the friend’s grandfather, who is a fisherman.
