Two arrested in smuggling case of banned Kanjal wood

During checking, an Innova car number UK08R-9507 was stopped and checked and 308 pieces were recovered from the car. Kanjal-wood was recovered, two persons were traveling in the vehicle, who were smuggling banned wood. During interrogation, he told that he had cut it from the forests above Kamar village and was taking it to Saharanpur to sell. Both the accused have been handed over to the forest department along with the banned Kanjal wood for further legal proceedings. Smuggler’s name/address- 1- Sajid, son of Rasu Rao, resident of Khatakhedi police station, Mandi district, Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, age-38 years. 2- Prithvi Rawal, son of Koylu Rawal, resident of Achal Kanali district Humla Nepal, hall residence near Nala Patri Ghantaghar, Saharanpur Uttar Pradesh, age – 50 years. Recovered goods – 308 pieces of Kanjal wood (worth around Rs 10 lakh)
