Two members of Lawrence Bishnoi gang caught in Delhi’s Vasant Kunj after brief shootout

Delhi Police Special Cell arrested two members of criminal gang Lawrence Bishnoi after a brief shootout in Vasant Kunj area, police said on Saturday. One of them is a minor.

He said that Alos, Anish (23) and a 15-year-old youth were arrested near Pocket-9 of Vasant Kunj on Friday night. Police had information that the duo had ordered them to “humiliate” them in front of an important hotel in south Delhi, the police said and added that the motive appeared to be extortion.

He told that after getting instructions from Amit, following the instructions of gangster Anmol Bishnoi, he was lodged in a jail in Punjab.

Anmol Bishnoi is the son of Lawrence Bishnoi and is suspected to be hiding in Canada. Lawrence Bishnoi is lodged in Sabarmati jail in Gujarat.

The accused fired five bullets and in retaliation the police fired two bullets in self-defence. Nadi turned out to be a hero, police said.
