Bhilai: Two people of the same family died in a tragic accident on Maroda over bridge in Nandini police station area. Brother-in-law and brother-in-law riding a scooter were hit by a speeding car. After the accident, the accused car driver absconded. At present no information is known about the car driver. Newai Bhatha resident Deepak Gupta (35) was going to his home in Supela Contractor Colony on his scooter with his brother-in-law Chandan Sao (27). Meanwhile, a car hit both of them hard on the Maroda over bridge.

After hitting both of them, the accused car driver fled away. People passing by called dial 112. After some time, an ambulance arrived from the district hospital. Both the seriously injured were taken to the hospital. But within some time both of them died during treatment. Newai TI Prashant Mishra said that the accused car driver is absconding, no information has been received about him at present. Search is going on. Will be caught soon. Road accidents are increasing in Durg Bhilai. Recently a dumper had crushed a bike rider. Due to which he died on the spot. After the death, family members and local people blocked the road.
