Two smugglers arrested for selling ganja in Lakh Nagar
Raipur. Two smugglers selling ganja have been arrested in Lakh Nagar. According to the information, the team of Narcotics Cell constituted under the Anti-Crime and Cyber Unit received information that two people kept hemp in a bag near the Hanuman temple located in Lakhe Nagar under police station Azad Chowk area and were in the process of selling it. On which Additional Superintendent of Police City/Crime Abhishek Maheshwari, City Superintendent of Police Azad Chowk Mayank Gurjar (I.P.S.) and Deputy Superintendent of Police Crime Dinesh Sinha, in-charge Anti-Crime and Cyber Unit and station in-charge Azad Chowk, verified the information and directed them to catch the accused red-handed with ganja.
On which, under the direction of senior officers, a joint team of Anti-Crime and Cyber Unit and Thana Azad Chowk police went to the said place and identified the persons of the appearance mentioned by the informer and caught them. During interrogation, the persons told their names as Bablu Prasad and Saravan Kumar Prajapati, residents of Uttar Pradesh. When the team members searched the bag kept with them, it was found to contain ganja. On which both the accused were arrested and a total of 06 kg 500 grams of Ganja and Jumla cash worth about Rs 66,000/- were seized from their possession and action was taken against the accused by registering crime number 235/2023 Section 20B, 29 Narcotics Act in police station Azad Chowk.

- Bablu Prasad father Baldev Prasad age 21 years resident of Devla village post Chaura police station hill district Chitrakut Uttar Pradesh.
- Sarwan Kumar Prajapati father Ramniranjan Prajapati age 23 years resident of village Padhra post Pahari police station Pahari district Chitrakoot Uttar Pradesh.
In the proceedings, Inspector Jitendra Kumar, Station House Officer, Azad Chowk, Souni Santosh Singh from Anti-Crime and Cyber Unit, P.R. Anup Mishra, R. Sandeep Singh, Santosh Sinha, Mahipal Singh Thakur, Pradeep Sahu and Amit Ghritalhare had important roles.
