Two thousand seats will be increased in hostels

Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai inaugurated five girls hostels in Arang today. With the opening of the five hostels, three hundred girls of scheduled caste will get residential facility for their studies. The cost of these hostels is more than eight crore six lakh rupees. The Chief Minister inaugurated Post Matric Scheduled Caste Girls Hostel Arang 100 seater cost 174.67 lakh, Pre Matric Scheduled Caste Girls Hostel Mandir Hasaud, 50 seater cost 174.67 lakh, Scheduled Caste Girls Ashram Arang 50 seater cost 162.76 lakh, Scheduled Caste Girls Hostel Ashram 50 seater cost 162.76 lakh, New Pre Matric Scheduled Caste Girls Hostel Arang 50 seater cost 152.97 lakh rupees. The Chief Minister planted a Ramphal plant in the girls hostel premises under the Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam campaign.

On this occasion, he announced to increase two thousand seats in all the hostels and hostels of the state. The Chief Minister announced the renovation of Minor Nagar Vitrak Branch No. 1 Podhapar Rasota Tulsi Keshla, construction of housing for the employees of Arang SDM and Tehsil Office, expansion and renovation of Arang Rest House. On this occasion, on the demand of MLA Guru Khuswant Saheb, Rs 17 crore was also approved for the construction of Bhandarpuri Gurudwara Complex.

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai inaugurated the hostel and congratulated the girl students. He said that I am happy that through these buildings, our daughters of Scheduled Caste category will be able to continue their education in a convenient manner and will bring glory to their parents and our state by getting well educated. Addressing the program, Chief Minister Sai said that education is the basic mantra of development. Education is not only a means to get a job but more than that, it is the foundation of an ideal society. Education plays an important role in doing any work well. Dr. Raman Singh’s government was in power for 15 years in the state, in these 15 years many works were done for the development of education in the state. At that time, the educational institutions of our state were in the top. The result of that is that today there are more than 10 medical colleges in the state.

The Chief Minister said that development along with good governance is the priority of our government. Our government has been in power for only a few months, in such a short time we have taken steps towards fulfilling the guarantees given to the people of the state by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. In this sequence, we have also approved Rs 17 crore in a short time for the development of Arang Assembly. Our government is also working continuously in the field of education. 211 schools of Chhattisgarh have been included in the PM Shri Yojana. For the development of these schools, a budget of Rs 02 crore will be received from the Central Government, which will be used to increase the availability of good teachers in the school, educational quality. Along with this, the number of seats in the hostels set up in Delhi for the students of ST, SC, OBC category who go to Delhi from Chhattisgarh to prepare for IAS, IPS examination has been increased to 200.

Ramvichar Netam, while addressing the program, said that the government of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai is determined for the betterment, upliftment and development of the society. He said that the inauguration of these girls’ hostels will provide great convenience to the girl students. I am very happy to inform that under the leadership of the Chief Minister, approval has been received for the construction of buildings of 180 hostels without buildings. At present, a tender of Rs 210 crore has also been placed for the construction of 121 buildings out of 180. Tender is also being uploaded for the construction of 69 hostel buildings. Our government is also committed to the construction of buildings of 295 buildingless hostels and ashrams in the state. Mr. Netam further said that our government is also working to make the hostels in poor condition fully equipped by maintaining them. We are ensuring a good environment and favourable facilities for students to study. The number of hostels and ashrams for ST-SC category is 3757, which have 1,97,000 seats. The admission process is also going on in ashram hostels at many places. We have also opened new Eklavya schools across the state.

It is worth mentioning that Scheduled Caste girls will be given admission in these hostels and ashrams, where they will be able to complete their studies. Furnished bedrooms, computer rooms, dining rooms along with class rooms and adequate number of toilets and bathrooms have been built in the hostels. Adequate facilities of electricity and water have also been provided in the buildings. In the program, the Chief Minister also distributed free bicycles to about 20 school girls for commuting.
