Two women died due to LPG cylinder explosion
Panaji: A 26-year-old woman and her elderly mother-in-law died when an LPG cylinder exploded in Vasco town of Goa on Saturday morning.
The victims, identified as Shivani Rajawat and her 65-year-old mother-in-law Jayadevi, died on the spot in the incident, which took place around 9 a.m., a senior police officer said.
“These two women were the only ones present at their residence in New Vadem Colony in Vasco when the LPG cylinder in the kitchen exploded,” he said.
The bodies of the deceased were sent to the hospital for post-mortem and a team of forensic experts collected samples from the spot for analysis, the official said.
