Two youths arrested for selling liquor in Khamtrai area
Raipur: 2 accused were arrested for selling liquor illegally. In fact, police station Khamtarai received information that a person was selling liquor illegally by keeping it across Sheetla Talab Urkura Talab. On which the Khamtrai police team raided the place told by the informer and after searching the white colored plastic bag kept by the team members from the accused Lakhan Verma father Narsing Verma, 32 pauvas of indigenous spice liquor were found in the bag. On demanding valid documents from the accused in relation to possession of liquor, efforts were being made to mislead the team members by not presenting any document by him. On which the accused Lakhan Verma was arrested and illegally kept from his possession, a total of 5.760 bulk liters of country spice liquor worth Rs. 3840 /- was seized against the accused in police station Khamtarai, crime number 753/23, section 34 (2) Excise Act, Excise Act. The crime was registered and action was taken.
Similarly, police station Khamtarai police received information that a person is selling liquor illegally near Metal Park Rawanbhata. The police team of police station Khamtarai raided the place mentioned by the informer and team members searched a white sack from the accused Ramesh Dande. On taking it, 30 pouvas of country spice liquor was found to be kept in the sack. An attempt was being made to mislead the members of the team by not presenting any document on the demand of a valid document from the accused in connection with the possession of liquor, on which accused Ramesh Dande was arrested and a total of 5.400 bulk was recovered from his possession. After seizing a liter of country spice liquor worth Rs.3600 and sale amount of Rs.100, action was taken against the accused by registering crime number 754/23 Section 34(2) of the Excise Act in police station Khamtarai.
