Uday expressed grief over the demise of Vijaykant
Chennai: State Sports Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin expressed grief over the demise of politician Vijayakanth. In his condolence message, Uday praised Vijayakanth and said that his fame will remain eternal.
He said that the mutual love between former CM Karunanidhi and Vijayakanth cannot be expressed in words.

There was mourning in Tamil Nadu on Thursday as Vijayakanth passed away due to prolonged illness. Politicians and members of the film fraternity are paying their respects to the veteran actor.
The 71-year-old man was undergoing treatment for severe cold and cough. On the night of 26 December, he was taken to a private hospital. His Covid-19 test came positive and he was put on ventilator support.
He was last seen in public on 18 December when he presided over the 18th General Council meeting of the DMDK held in Thiruverakkadu.
Due to deteriorating health, the post of General Secretary of the party was handed over to his wife Premlata at the GC meeting.
Film, political personalities are paying tribute to Vijayakanth at Rajaji Hall. His funeral ceremony will take place on December 29.
