Uncontrolled car collides with bridge, businessman’s legs severed
Ambikapur. On Sunday night, a speeding car collided with the side wall of the bridge near Shankarghat turn on National Highway- 343 in Ambikapur. A businessman resident of Bariyan died on the spot in the accident. Family members have expressed suspicion of foul play in the accident. However, the police have rejected any such suspicion. The incident took place in City Kotwali area. According to the information, Bariyan resident businessman Manideep Jaiswal had come to Ambikapur in connection with business in his car on Sunday. After completing his work, he was returning back to Bari in car number CG 15 DW 2151 at around 12.30 pm on Sunday night. Near Shankarghat turn, his speeding car went out of control and collided with the side wall of the bridge.
After the collision, the airbags of the car also opened, but still the businessman died on the spot due to serious injuries. His body remained in the car throughout the night. The family members remained worried all night by calling the businessman on his mobile. Late night the police patrolling party informed the control room about the accident. Upon identification, family members were informed. Manideep Jaiswal operates a grocery shop in Bari and a crusher plant in Bhilai. The police have handed over the body to the family after postmortem. It is being told that the driver was driving the car, who is absconding after the incident. Family members had expressed suspicion of foul play in the accident. Kotwali police station in-charge Manish Singh Parihar said that the investigation is at the initial stage. The matter seems to be an accident.
