Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan worshiped Goddess Durga on Navami day
Sambalpur (ANI): Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday visited several Durga Pujas in Sambalpur district on Mahanavmi, visiting pandals in his native Odisha and worshiping the goddess. Earlier on Monday, the Human Resource Development Minister visited the birthplace of freedom fighter Veer Surendra Sai in Sambalpur and participated in a program organized under the BJP’s ‘Meri Mati Mera Desh’ campaign. Speaking to reporters, Pradhan informed that the land of the freedom fighter’s birthplace will be brought to Delhi and handed over to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as part of the ongoing national campaign.
Speaking to ANI, the Union Minister said, “We are in the final phase of the ‘Meri Maati, Mera Desh’ campaign. I consider it a privilege to be here today at the birthplace of freedom fighter Veer Surendra Sai.” His birthplace will be taken to Delhi and handed over to the Prime Minister. Soil will be incorporated into the surface on the duty path. As part of the ongoing campaign, the land of the birthplace of the country’s stalwarts is being brought to Delhi.”
On Mahanavami, the ninth day of Navratri, devotees worship Goddess Siddhidatri.
During Navratri, fairs with swings, slides and food stalls are organized in different parts of the country.
Immersed in the festive atmosphere, a large number of devotees and devotees gather to watch Ramlila. Children dress up for the holidays and participate in games and other events organized at these fairs.
Navami is followed by Dussehra, which symbolizes the victory of good over evil.
