UP: 52 people died due to lightning in different districts

Lucknow: In Uttar Pradesh, the flood situation has worsened due to continuous rain and water released from dams. At the same time, farmers and public are still troubled due to lack of adequate rainfall in many areas. The districts where the situation has worsened the most due to rain include Shahjahanpur, Pilibhit, Lakhimpur Kheri, Badaun, Bareilly, Bahraich, Shravasti, Barabanki, Ambedkarnagar, Ayodhya, Gonda and Balrampur. About one and a half dozen people have died due to floods in these districts. Lakhimpur Kheri lost the maximum number of five people. At the same time, three people died in Bahraich, one each in Sitapur, Pilibhit, Badaun and Shravasti, while two each in Bareilly and Balrampur due to drowning. Talking about other parts of the state, here also 52 people lost their lives due to lightning and rain. Shahjahanpur city came under the grip of floods, while water of Garra and Khannaut rivers entered more than 20 localities here. 20 thousand people of the city and rural areas have been affected by this. The help of the army and NDRF had to be taken to take two thousand people to a safe place. On the other hand, 150 villages in Lakhimpur Kheri have been hit by floods. People are taking shelter on the roofs, they are also yearning for food. However, the administration is claiming to provide all possible help to the flood victims. After Pilibhit city, the water of Devha river also entered five mohallas and 60 villages of Bisalpur town here, while work remained stalled due to two to three feet of water in the collectorate and nearby government offices. On the other hand, there was some relief in flood-affected Shravasti and Bahraich on Wednesday, but the crisis remained in Gonda and Balrampur. To know the condition of the people struggling with the flood, CM Yogi did an aerial tour of Pilibhit and Lakhimpur Kheri yesterday. Along with this, he distributed relief material among the people in both the districts. He assured that all possible help will be provided to the flood victims. Compensation will be given for the destroyed crops. And Rs 4 lakh each will be given to the families of those who lost their lives. The Chief Minister, who reached Chandia Hazara village in the Trans Sharda area of ​​Pilibhit, directed the officers to speed up the relief and rescue operations. He conducted an aerial survey of the city as well as the Bisalpur area. From Pilibhit, he reached Lakhimpur Kheri. He conducted an aerial survey of the flood-affected areas there and reached Mahdeva village by steamer and spoke to the villagers.
