UP: Heavy rain, floods in many districts, railway track submerged in Lucknow, Barabanki
Heavy rains continue in many districts of Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued yellow and orange alerts for many areas. Many areas of Lucknow are flooded. The railway track in Barabanki has been submerged in water. Due to which the wheels of trains have also slowed down. Apart from the capital Lucknow, the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert of storm and storm in Barabanki, Gonda, Lakhimpur Kheri, Hardoi and Sitapur. Apart from this, orange alert has been issued regarding heavy rain in Bijnor, Moradabad, Rampur and surrounding areas. It rained throughout the night in Lucknow on Sunday.
Schools closed in Lucknow
Due to heavy rains, holiday was declared in all the schools of Lucknow district. In the message issued by the district administration, it has been said that in view of the severe lightning and heavy rain issued by the Meteorological Department, no one should roam outside in the open without any work in Lucknow. There is a possibility of severe lightning during this period. Along with this, stay away from unsafe buildings and trees. The district administration has advised the people of the district to stay in their homes.
Alert issued for these districts
Apart from Lucknow, the Meteorological Department has warned Barabanki, Kanpur, Hardoi, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Jhansi, Lalitpur, Aligarh, Mathura, Hathras, Agra, Firozabad, Etawah, Auraiya, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Sambhal, Badaun. And a yellow alert has been issued for heavy rain in the surrounding areas. Senior meteorologist Atul Kumar Singh says that the weather will remain like this till September 12. There will be a decrease in the activity of monsoon from 13th, along with this the intensity of rain will reduce in the western areas. Maximum rainfall was recorded in Moradabad from Saturday evening to Sunday evening. During this period 191 mm was recorded here. While Aligarh recorded 82 mm rainfall and Agra 58.5 mm rainfall. Whereas Jhansi recorded 57 mm rainfall and Shahjahanpur 45.6 mm rainfall.
CM Yogi Adityanath gave these instructions
In view of the heavy rains in the state, Chief Minister of the state Yogi Adityanath has instructed the officials of the concerned districts to conduct relief operations with full promptness. CM has said that officers should visit the area and keep an eye on the relief work and distribute the permissible relief amount to the people affected by the disaster without any delay. Along with this, the CM has given instructions to make effective arrangements for drainage in case of water logging.
