Uproar in front of the judge’s car, women had come to protest against the arrest of liquor smugglers

Bemetara: Big action of Excise Department, two persons were caught smuggling liquor. The villagers accused the excise inspector of arbitrariness. Women reached District Excise Department. Women stopped the car of a female judge in violation of the model code of conduct. Angered, the family members created a ruckus in the court premises.

The whole matter is of village Hardi of Berla block of Bemetra district. Where two people including Babli Sonwani were arrested by the Excise team in the case of liquor smuggling, Babli Sonwani and her driver were brought to Bemetara by the Excise Department officials at 12 o’clock in the night. Some women and men from the same village reached the Excise Department and created a ruckus. Also, during the presentation in the court, the women reached the court premises and created a ruckus and stopped the car of the judge.
