Uproar over birth of dead child in medical college
Bihar. There was a huge commotion in the MCH of Shri Krishna Medical College at 2 pm. When a pregnant woman gave birth to a dead child, her family got angry and started trying to sabotage the SCH. The family members were accusing the doctor of negligence. Gaighat’s Jatadih puja gave birth to a dead child in MCH. The angry family members alleged that the mother was not admitted to the hospital on time. Also accused of demanding bribe for hiring a midwife. The uproar continued for about an hour.
The family members said that the doctor was negligent in treating the patient, due to which the child died in the womb. The family told that the woman was brought to MCH. The trolleyman and guard demanded five thousand rupees for admission. If she did not give, the trolleyman threatened not to hire the woman. After seeing the doctor, one month’s time was given. He was prescribed medicine for one month and sent home. Due to pain, the family admitted the woman to Gaighat PHC. When the situation became serious, the woman was referred to SKMCH at around 11 pm, where at around 1.30 pm the woman gave birth to a dead child. On receiving the information after an hour, Health Manager Prabhat Kumar pacified the matter. He assured action. Information about the case has been received. Clarification will be sought from the supervisor of the guard and trolleyman.
