Valuable wood seized, two people caught transporting it by pickup

Jashpur. The forest department has taken action on illegal felling of forests in the garden forest area of the district. Today, the patrolling team of the Forest Department has arrested two accused of illegal felling from the forest red-handed. The pick-up vehicle along with four sal trees cut in the Ratnapath forest has also been seized from the possession of the accused. Garden range officer Ashok Singh arrested two people including Pradeep Bhagat, the main accused of illegal felling in the forest, and started the process of confiscating a vehicle full of timber.

These days, taking advantage of the absence of forest staff in Badalkhol Sanctuary, people of forest mafia are doing illegal felling of green precious trees in broad daylight. The people of the forest mafia were illegally felling green precious trees of the year in the Ratnapath forest of the garden forest area. As soon as the information was received, the patrolling team of the forest department reached the forest and arrested two members of the forest mafia red-handed.
