Vanilla Ice remembers partying with Pablo Escobar
Los Angeles: Rapper Vanilla Ice recently said that he was once close to drug lord Pablo Escobar, but he did not know that he was a major drug kingpin.
The rapper made the revelation in an interview with VladTV that he used to party with the Colombian gangster during his heyday in the 1990s, but insisted he didn’t even realize how much Escobar was He was a big businessman.
Vanilla Ice, whose real name is Rob Van Winkle, says he hosted Pablo several times at his Florida home during that time. On Tuesday, he joined ‘TMZ Live’ and opened up about what they really have in common as friends, reports tmz.com.
He says their shared love of speed boats was in fact what first drew them together, and he also credits Pablo for fostering innovations in boat racing.
