Veteran filmmaker Rajkumar Kohli passes away, last rites to be performed soon
Mumbai: Actor Armaan Kohli’s father, veteran filmmaker Rajkumar Kohli, has passed away at the age of 93. The last rites of the late filmmaker will be held on Friday. Rajkumar Kohli was famous for directing several Bollywood films such as ‘Dulla Bhatti’, which was released in 1966, and ‘Lootera’ starring Dara Singh, which was released in the 1970s.
Other films include ‘Nagin’ (1976), ‘Jaani Dushman’ (1979), ‘Naukar Biwi Ka’ and ‘Raj Tilak’ (1984). His son Armaan Kohli started his career as a lead actor with his father’s 1992 film ‘Vidrohi’. He also made ‘Jaani Dushman: Ek Anokhi Kahani’, which starred Sunny Deol and Akshay Kumar.
In 2013, Armaan appeared in the reality show ‘Bigg Boss 7′. He made a comeback to Bollywood after 12 years and played a negative role in Rajshri Productions’ Salman Khan starrer ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ in 2015.

The last rites of Rajkumar Kohli will be performed on Friday evening only. At present, his family and relatives have started reaching his home in Mumbai. Many stars of the film industry have also expressed grief.
