Vikrant Massey will be seen in the biopic of famous writer Ruskin Bond
Mumbai (IANS). Actor Vikrant Massey is collaborating with director Niranjan Iyengar for a film based on the life of famous writer Ruskin Bond.
She is all set to make her directorial debut with Niranjan Iyengar with her lead role in Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s upcoming project ’12th Fail’.
Ruskin Bond’s first novel ‘The Room on the Roof’ was published in 1956. It received the John Llewellyn Rice Award in 1957. Bond has written more than 500 short stories and novels, including 69 books for children.
He was honored with the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1992 for ‘Our Trees Still Grow in Dehra’. He was awarded the Padma Shri in 1999 and the Padma Bhushan in 2014.
Vikrant made his acting debut with the role of Aamir Hassan in ‘Dhoom Machao Dhoom’ and became a household name with his roles in ‘Dharam Veer’, ‘Baba Aiso Var Dhundho’ and ‘Qubool Hai’.
He made his film debut in ‘Lootera’ and went on to appear in supporting roles in ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’ and films including ‘Half Girlfriend’, ‘A Death in the Gunj’ and ‘Chhapaak’. Meanwhile, she also garnered much appreciation for her starring roles in the popular web series ‘Mirzapur’ and ‘Broken But Beautiful’.
Talking about the work front, Vikrant will be seen in 12th Fail, Sector 36 and debut director Niranjan Iyengar’s film.
