Villager injured in attack dies, murderer will be arrested soon
Kanker. A villager was attacked with an ax in a dispute over land in village Garhpichwadi, adjacent to the city, on the night of June 21. The injured villager died during treatment on Saturday. The police have now started the process of registering a case of murder against the accused. The accused attacked the villager and threw him into the bushes. The villagers picked him up from the bushes and took him to the hospital, from where he was referred to Raipur.
For the last few days, there was a dispute between Garhpichwadi resident Amar Singh Teta and Chamru Ram Salam regarding the land. Due to this dispute, Chamru Ram Salam attacked Amar Singh Teta with an ax and seriously injured him on Wednesday, June 21, at 9 pm. Amar Singh had serious head injuries. After the attack, when he fell unconscious on the ground, accused Chamru Ram Salam threw him into the bushes thinking he was dead. Some villagers saw the accused doing this and immediately took the injured to Kanker Medical College for treatment.
The villager had a serious head injury due to the attack of the axe, in view of which the injured was referred to Raipur after first aid. Due to financial constraints, the family members were not ready to get him treated in Raipur. He died while bringing him from Raipur to Kanker. TI Sharad Dubey said that the accused had already been arrested in the case and a case of attempt to murder was registered against him. After the death of the injured, now a case of murder is being registered against the accused.
