Villagers frightened by the roar of elephants, announcement made
Surajpur: In Abhaypur village of Ramanujnagar forest range, a group of 11 elephants has reached near the village and is damaging the crops of the farmers, due to which the villagers are in panic. At the same time, the forest staff is giving advice to the villagers throughout the night and is monitoring the elephants along with the villagers to ensure that the elephant group does not enter the village. For the last three days, the Abhaypur area of the district has been haunted by the roar of elephants.
In fact, a group of 11 elephants has been stuck in the forest adjacent to this village for the last three days. Till now these elephants have destroyed a large amount of farmers’ standing crops. To prevent elephants from coming inside the village, the villagers are monitoring the elephants throughout the night. Let us tell you that this elephant group had killed two people in the same area last year, due to which the villagers have been living in fear for the last three days. After getting information about the elephant reaching near the village, the forest staff has also become alert, they are making announcements in the village and also the villagers are being advised not to go towards the forest.
