According to the information received in this regard, at around 2 pm on Friday afternoon, Tripura Rifles stopped heavy vehicles entering through the SECL bypass route in Chhal area, due to which a dispute started between the soldiers of Tripura Rifles and the local villagers. The dispute escalated into a scuffle. The villagers also reached the spot in large numbers and attacked the Tripura Rifle jawans with sticks and stones. After which there is also talk of firing by Tripura Rifle soldiers.

According to the video that went viral on social media, the villagers of the village are chasing the Tripura Rifles soldiers and beating them with sticks and are also pelting stones at some young soldiers of the village. It is being told that despite several complaints by the local villagers to the Chhal Police regarding closure of the bypass road by the SECL management, due to lack of any attention towards this, the villagers of the village got angry today and such an incident happened.
