Villagers of 13 villages cheated, Collector and SP gave instructions for investigation
Surguja: The incidents of fraud are not showing any signs of stopping in the district. Let us tell you that a young man took 500 and 1000 rupees from the villagers of more than 12 villages of Sitapur block of Surguja district and promised them lakhs of rupees. They have been duped by taking them under their influence. Due to this, the villagers who were victims of fraud prepared a written application and reached the Circuit House in Sitapur, met Surguja Collector Kundan Kumar and SP Sunil Sharma and complained about it. The Collector has assured to investigate the matter and take action as soon as possible.
The villagers who were victims of fraud told that Rs 500 to 1000 were taken from them by a person named Narayan of village Bhusu and it was said that they would get lakhs of rupees in the future. Not only this, people were also deceived that in the coming time, money would be refunded to the people at the rate of Rs 1 lakh on the basis of the number of members in their ration card. But when they did not receive the money, they realized that they had been victims of fraud. The villagers have made a written complaint in this regard to the Surguja Collector and SP. After talking to the villagers, Surguja Collector Kundan Kumar and SP Sunil Sharma immediately gave verbal instructions to Sitapur SDOP Dhruvesh Jaiswal to investigate the matter and file an FIR.
Talking to the media, Surguja Collector Kundan Kumar said that in the conversation with the villagers, it became clear that the villagers of many Gram Panchayats have been cheated by taking money, about which the villagers have also given a written complaint to the administration, an FIR was launched after a quick investigation. Instructions have been issued regarding which the villagers can get justice and action can be taken against the fraudsters.
