Vote counting supervisor-assistant received training
Jashpur : To conduct the Assembly Elections 2023 successfully and fairly, training of counting personnel, counting supervisors and counting assistants was organized in the District Panchayat Hall to give them information about the preparation and counting process. District level master trainers Professor DR Rathiya, Professor TR Patle, Professor SK Markande told that the work of counting votes is a very important and sensitive task in the election process. The entire work of counting of votes is done under the direction and supervision of the Returning Officer. Detailed information was given by the Master Trainer regarding how the votes are counted through postal ballot papers and EVMs. Necessary guidelines were given by Additional Collector IL Thakur, Returning Officer Prashant Kushwaha.
The counting of votes for the three assembly constituencies of Jashpur district, Jashpur, Kunkuri and Pathalgaon, will be done on December 03 at the Government Model School, Jashpur. All counting staff, candidates, election agents and counting agents appointed at the counting center are prohibited from carrying mobile or electronic devices. Intensive checking of all persons will be done before entering the counting venue. Entry into the counting center will be granted on the basis of photo identity card issued by the District Election Officer, Returning Officer. The counting of votes will be done in a big counting hall in which a total of 14 tables will be installed for counting the votes using machines. The counting work on each counting table will be done by the counting team which will consist of a counting observer, a counting assistant and a micro observer (for monitoring). The counting of postal ballot votes will start at the time fixed by the Election Commission at 08:00 am and the votes will be counted from EVMs at 8.30 am. The process of postal ballot counting was explained in detail to the counting personnel by the master trainer. They were also told about the reasons for which postal ballots are rejected and how postal ballots are scrutinised. All counting personnel should be equipped with E.V.M. The counting of votes was explained in detail through PPT. At the end of the training V. Wh. Information was given about the calculation of stomach paper slips.
