Waqf Amendment Bill introduced in Lok Sabha, opposition raised objection
New Delhi: Minority Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju has introduced the Waqf Amendment Bill 2024 in the Lok Sabha. Congress has objected to this. On behalf of the opposition, KC Venugopal has objected to this and said that this is an attack on religion and fundamental rights given by the Constitution.

He questioned whether there is any non-Hindu in the Ayodhya temple, has any non-Hindu been kept in the committee of any temple. Venugopal said that Waqf is also a religious institution.
