Warning of heavy rain till July 20, instructions to departments to be alert
Raigarh. The Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rains in Raigad district from July 16 to July 20. Orange and Yellow alerts have also been issued for this. In view of this, Collector Taran Prakash Sinha has put all the departments of the district administration on alert. He has instructed the field staff of Revenue and Panchayat Department to continuously monitor at the field level. Special vigilance has been directed in the panchayats where flood situation arises. The city army team was also directed to keep its full preparedness for relief and rescue operations.
So that on getting information, help can be dispatched immediately. Collector Sinha has also asked the health staff to be alert so that health facilities can be provided to the people immediately if needed. Along with this, on the instructions of Collector Sinha, a 24-hour control room has been set up in the district office, Raigarh, for information and assistance regarding any kind of damage due to flood/excessive rainfall in the district.
