Warning to more than 70 goons, maintain peace

Dhamtari. Criminal incidents have increased in the district in the last few days. Most of the cases are related to stabbing and drug abuse followed by fighting. Recently, a young man was stabbed to death by school children in Donar. After which there was resentment among the people regarding the policing system. After which now Dhamtari police has started the arrest operation. The police have brought more than 70 goons to the police station and warned them to reform and live peacefully.

Dhamtari SP Prashant Thakur has taken necessary steps to maintain peace in the city in view of the upcoming assembly elections and festive season. On the instructions of Dhamtari SP, a joint team of police and cyber cell conducted a crackdown operation to crack down on goons and miscreants. As part of the arrest campaign, more than 70 goons registered their presence at the City Kotwali police station. The miscreants who reached the police station were advised to stay away from crimes and live peacefully with their families. The police have taken action against some goons and sent them to jail under restrictive sections.
