Was selling liquor in front of hotel, caught red handed
Dhamtari: Superintendent of Police Prashant Thakur has instructed to take action by running a campaign against illegal liquor, gambling betting, illegal businessmen. On which, under the guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police Madhulika Singh, under the leadership of SDOP.Nagri Mayank Ransingh, Sihawa Police under the action of curbing illegal liquor in the district, in front of village Sankara Hotel, Brijkishore Dhruv father late Laxman Singh Dhruv age. Sakin, 52 years old, was caught red handed by Kodmud Sankara while selling it by keeping it with him.
On finding 33 paua of country plain liquor worth Rs. 2640/- from him, if no valid document was produced in relation to keeping and selling the said liquor, then on the spot, from the possession of the accused, he kept it for sale and confiscated 33 paua of illegal country plain liquor under the crime section. After being found to have violated 34 (2) Excise Act, the accused Brij Kishore Dhruv was duly arrested and taken to police station Sihawa, crime number 137/23 under Section 34 (2) Excise Act, after being taken for investigation, the accused is being sent on judicial remand. In the said proceedings, police station in-charge Sihawa Nri.Lekh Ram Thakur, Sr. Pushpanand Dhruv, R. Harishankar Sinha, Anurag Pandey had special contribution.
