Waverock organizes mini marathon in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: Over 3,500 participants participated in the fifth edition of the fun-filled minimarathon, Wyvern, which was inaugurated by TI Principal Secretary Jayesh Ranjan on Saturday. Organized by Waverock, the event aimed to spread the message of inclusion and sustainability. Jayesh Ranjan, who directed the event, said that this race is being organized with the noble objective of gender equality. “The race was well received and Miles competed in the 3K, 5K and 10K categories,” he said. Colonel Sanjay Bhardwaj, senior director and head of asset administration, Waverock, said: “Every year we support a social cause, this year we support the cause of gender equality. They are giving away prizes like scooters and electric bicycles and we have also installed an electric charging station at Waverock. Ankit Kumar won the 10 km (men) while Kirti won the 10 km (women). Other winners include Surendra – 5K (Men), Purnima – 5K (Women), Somesh – 3K (Men) and Reema – 3K (Women).
