Jharkhand Hotelier Who Died in Air Ambulance Crash Borrowed ₹7L for Trip

Ranchi: A hotel owner, his wife and five others lost their lives in an air ambulance that crashed in Jharkhand. The incident took place on Monday night. However, it is learned that the hotel owner’s family had borrowed about seven lakhs for the air ambulance to get treatment at a Delhi hospital. He had to go in an air ambulance to get better treatment in Delhi. For that, his family had borrowed seven lakhs. But the air ambulance crashed, and the family of hotel owner Sanjay Kumar Shah went into deep grief.

Recently, a fire broke out at Sanjay Kumar’s hotel. Sanjay sustained around 65 percent injuries in the accident. He was initially treated in Ranchi. But he could not fully recover there. Due to this, the doctors at the Ranchi hospital advised him to be shifted to Shri Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi. However, due to the burn injuries, it was not possible to take Sanjay by road or rail. This necessitated an air ambulance.

Sanjay’s family also took a loan of seven lakhs to go in that air ambulance. Some of the money brought for the air ambulance was hidden in Delhi for treatment. Sanjay and Archana have two children. Dr. Vikash Kumar Gupta also died in the air ambulance accident. His story is also heartbreaking. His father sold his land to enable Vikash to pursue higher education. He completed his MBBS in Cuttack, Odisha and became a meritorious student. The doctor has a seven-year-old son.
