When Gautam Rode thought of separating from wife Pankhuri
Mumbai: Actor Gautam Rode has revealed how he decided to separate during a major fight with his wife and actress Pankhuri Awasthi, saying that nowadays you can’t make up a relationship easily.
Gautam and Pankhuri appeared on an episode of ‘Couple of Things’, hosted by actress Amrita Rao and her husband and radio jockey Anmol Sood. Amrita shared a snippet of the episode on her Instagram account, in which we can hear Gautam saying, “I think in 2.5 years we have had two-three major fights. Then only once we were thinking that no yaar, is it okay, or go our separate ways. Is it okay to sort it out?”
Pankhuri replied, “You were thinking, not me.” Gautam said, “Yes I was thinking”, to which Pankhuri commented: “For me it’s like if you are in a relationship you make it work.”
She added: “That question did come to mind and we discussed it. Is it working?” Anmol replied to Gautam saying: “It was not wrong to have the question, it was not wrong to think. What kept you together in that situation?”
Gautam said, “Look, it’s difficult to find that bond these days. It’s not easy to find a connection these days.” Amrita captioned the video: “Amazing insights: #couplegoals 1. Pankhuri said – “When you are in a relationship – you make it work” 2. Gautam said: You don’t get that bond so easily – life goes by and you don’t get that bond. Even if you want it with your whole heart… you will hardly get it. Hold that hand @rodegautam @pankhuri313 You have given me 2 of the greatest lessons in love.”
Gautam and Pankhuri got married on February 5, 2018 in Alwar. The couple has twins, a boy and a girl. Gautam was last seen in the show ‘Bhakarwadi’, which premiered on Sony SAB.
On the other hand, Pankhuri made her acting debut in 2014 with ‘Yeh Hai Aashiqui’ playing the role of Saima. She is best known for her portrayal of Razia Sultan in ‘Razia Sultan’ and Draupadi in ‘Suryaputra Karn’.
She played the role of Amala in ‘Kya Kusoor Hai Amala Ka’, Vedika in ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’, ASI Meera in ‘Madam Sir’ and Kajal in ‘Gur Se Meetha Ishq’. The 33-year-old actress also appeared in Bollywood film ‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’ starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Jitendra Kumar in the lead roles.
