When wife did not return home, young man drank poison

Ujjain: When his wife did not return from her maternal home, a young man came to his house and consumed poisonous substance. The relative had admitted him to the hospital for treatment. Where he died. The relative has accused the in-laws of assault. Police said that Mukesh Gurjar, age 24, resident of Ghonsla, was married to Madhubai, resident of Jharra, about one and a half years ago. A few days ago Madhubai had gone to her maternal home. From where she was not returning. She did not come home even on Diwali.

Mukesh had gone to his in-laws’ house thrice to pick up his wife. But her in-laws were not sending her to Madhubai. Mukesh had gone to his in-laws’ house on Wednesday also. From where he returned alone late in the evening. After coming home, Mukesh had consumed poisonous substance. Was taken to hospital for treatment. Where he died. The deceased’s elder brothers Mahesh and Sumer told the police that the in-laws did not send Madhubai with Mukesh and also beat her. Angered by this, Mukesh consumed poisonous substance. The police is investigating the case.
