Win the hearts of all the family members by making dal dish, collect these ingredients and get started.

The combination of dal and dish in dal pakwan makes its taste special. Although dal pakwan is used as breakfast or snacks in most of the Sindhi homes, but other people also like it a lot. Anyway, no food item can be considered someone’s inheritance. If something is tasty then it hits everyone’s lips. If you want to try something new, then Dal Pakwan can be a better option for you. We believe that this dish will win the hearts of everyone at home. It doesn’t take much effort to make it.
Ingredients for Dal
Gram dal – 1 cup
Chopped Tomato – 1
Chopped onion – 1
Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
Coriander powder – 1 tsp
Garam masala – 1 tsp
Mustard – 1/2 tsp
Cumin – 1 tsp
Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
Chaat masala – 1 tsp
Lemon juice – 1 tsp
Tamarind water – 1 tsp
Oil
Salt
Ingredients for making dishes
Flour – 2 cups
Ajwain – 1 tsp
Oil – 1/2 cup
lukewarm water
Salt
Method

  • First of all we will prepare the dal. Put gram dal in a pressure cooker, add water, turmeric and salt and cook on medium flame. When 5-6 whistles come, turn off the gas and let the gas from the cooker come out.
  • Now take a pan and add oil in it and heat it on medium flame. When the oil becomes hot, add mustard seeds and let it crackle. Add chopped tomatoes to it and cook until they become soft.
  • Add garam masala and coriander powder to it and let the mixture cook for 1 minute.
  • Open the lid of the cooker, take out the lentils and add it to the tomato mixture and mix. Let the dal cook on medium flame for 2 minutes. Turn off the gas. Dal is ready.
  • Now we will prepare the dish. First of all, add flour and other ingredients in a deep bottom vessel and mix them.
  • Add water little by little and knead a stiff dough. Cover the dough with a cloth and keep aside for 30 minutes. Put oil in the pan and heat it on medium flame.
  • Break the dough into balls. Now take a ball, wrap dry flour in it and roll it like roti.
  • Make holes in the roti with a fork and spoon. Due to this, the dishes will not swell while frying in oil.
    Now put these rotis in oil and fry. After one side becomes golden, turn the dish and fry it from the other side.
  • After it becomes golden brown from both the sides, take out the dish from the pan. Prepare all the dishes like this and fry them.
  • Take out the lentils in a bowl, add lemon juice, tamarind water, onion and chaat masala and serve it with the hot dish.
