Winter session of Chhattisgarh assembly, ministers will have to answer 814 questions
Raipur. The winter session of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly is starting from December 16. Many important works are going to be done in this session of four meetings. Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh said today that four amendment bills will be presented by the government in this session.
The first bill in this is regarding the salary allowances and pension of the assembly members. One bill is for amendment in the Land Revenue Code. Two bills are for amendment in the Municipal Corporation and Municipality Act. Apart from this, the second supplementary budget of the financial year 2024-25 will also be presented.
Let us tell you that in this session of four meetings, the assembly members have asked 814 questions, while 140 attention motions have been received by the Assembly Secretariat. Apart from these, 12 voluntary resolutions, 12 notices of zero hour and 57 petitions will be presented. The death of two former members will also be mentioned in this session. In response to a question, the Speaker of the Assembly gave a lesson to the opposition and said that the assembly session is the biggest weapon for the opposition. The more questions they ask, the more they corner the government, the more the opposition will benefit. Therefore, the opposition benefits the most in allowing the session to continue.
