Woman arrested for selling liquor in Raipur

Raipur. A woman has been caught selling liquor in Raipur. The informer informed the police that a woman was keeping liquor with her and selling it illegally near the railway track located in village Serikhedi under Police Station Mandir Hasaud area. On which, under the direction of senior officers, a joint team of Anti-Crime and Cyber Unit and Thana Mandir Hasaud Police went to the place mentioned by the informer, traced her, identified her and caught her.

During interrogation, the woman revealed her name to be Rani Manhare, resident of Serikhedi Temple, Hasaud Raipur. When the team members searched the bag kept with him, it was found to contain country liquor. When Rani Manhare was asked for valid documents regarding the possession of liquor, an attempt was being made to mislead the team members by not presenting any kind of document. On which the accused Rani Manhare was arrested and 90 pauvas of country liquor illegally kept from her possession and sale amount of Rs 2800 and Jumla worth Rs 12,700/- were seized and crime number 704/23 section 34(2) was registered against the female accused in Police Station Mandir Hasaud. An offense under the Excise Act was registered and action was taken.
