Woman commits suicide by jumping from 31st floor

Thane: A 19-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide by jumping from the balcony of her 31st floor flat of a building in Manpada in Thane city on Monday, a police officer said.

She was from Uttar Pradesh and apparently she was not liking living in Thane and wanted to go back, the Chitalsar police station officer said.

“She was staying in the flat of a couple who were friends of her parents. They sent him here for studies and better job prospects. We have registered a case of accidental death and are investigating further.”

The officer said that he ended his life at 9:15 am and when people nearby saw him soaked in blood, the police were alerted.
