Woman councilor’s husband arrested for illegal business, ganja seized from his possession

Ambikapur: Illegal drug trade has been at its peak in the state for some time now. Many times, many people dressed in white are also involved in this business. One such case has come to light from Ambikapur district of Surguja division. Here the police has arrested a person smuggling ganja. The police were shocked when they came to know that this man involved in smuggling of ganja was none other than the councilor’s husband.

According to the information received, Rajnarayan Jaiswal, husband of BJP councilor from ward number 14 of Lakhanpur police station area, has been arrested by the police with more than 2 kg of cannabis. Police has taken action against the accused under Section 20B NDPS Act and sent him to jail. Let us tell you that even before this, the police has already taken action against the accused Rajnarayan Jaiswal for selling illegal drugs, ganja and liquor.
