Virudhachalam MLA visits hospital, bank and school

Tamil Nadu: Virudhachalam MLA Premalatha Vijayakanth inspected several government institutions in the Veppur area of Cuddalore district on Tuesday and listened attentively to public concerns. She visited the Veppur Government Hospital, Nallur Primary Health Center, Chepauk Cooperative Bank, and Dr. Ambedkar Government Boys Higher Secondary School. Local officials were also present.
She first inspected the Nallur Government Primary Health Center. Here, she inquired from District Medical Officer Tamilarasan about health services, treatment facilities, and basic amenities available to patients. She advised the hospital staff that patients coming from rural areas should receive timely and quality medical care. She urged them to pay special attention to the quality of medical services.
She then proceeded to the Veppur Junction area, where she met with local residents and listened to their concerns. They expressed the need for public toilets and a passenger waiting room in the area. The MLA assured them that these demands would be placed before the relevant authorities and necessary action would be taken.
He then conducted a detailed inspection of the Veppur Government Hospital. He reviewed the hospital’s medicine stock, patient facilities, and infrastructure. He also visited patients in the inpatient ward, inquired about their well-being, and distributed fruits and food items. During this visit, he emphasized to doctors and health staff that providing quality services to patients is their primary responsibility, and that there should be no negligence.
The MLA also inquired about the hospital’s cleanliness, availability of medicines, and the state of emergency services. He urged officials to immediately address any deficiencies in health centers to avoid inconvenience to patients. He also stated that strengthening rural health services should be a priority for the government.
He then inspected the Chepauk Primary Agricultural Cooperative Bank. There, he reviewed the bank’s activities, loans to farmers, and financial processes. He urged officials to ensure timely and transparent access to loans to farmers so they can pursue their agricultural activities without disruption. She emphasized the need to simplify bank operations and make them more farmer-friendly.
Finally, she visited the Dr. Ambedkar Government Boys Higher Secondary School. Here, she inspected the infrastructure, teaching facilities, and academic activities available to students. She interacted with the teachers and emphasized the need to continuously improve the quality of education. She called for strengthening the necessary facilities at the school and creating a better environment for students.
Throughout the visit, Premalatha Vijayakant urged officials to address issues related to health, education, and rural development. She instructed them to prioritize public demands and ensure prompt resolution. Locals are hopeful that her visit will lead to improved infrastructure in the area and more effective government services.
