Woman died due to snake bite
Kawardha. Tribal Baiga woman Maniya Bai was bitten by a snake in Teliapani Ledrapani village of Pandariya block. After the incident, the woman came out of the room making noise and informed the family members. Now instead of taking the woman to the hospital, the family members took her to the exorcist. There was no use of blowing the broom throughout the day on 15th July i.e. Saturday. On the contrary, the condition of the woman kept getting worse. After this, the woman was taken to Pandariya Community Health Center in the evening. Due to the spread of poison in the whole body, the woman died as soon as she reached the hospital.
On the information of the hospital management, the police reached the hospital and got the body’s panchnama done. On Sunday morning, the dead body was sent to Mercury for post-mortem, but the family members were adamant about not conducting the post-mortem. The police explained a lot to the family, but they did not listen. On this, the police also called SDM Sandeep Thakur and village sarpanch husband Luv Patel to the hospital. After persuading both of them, the relatives agreed for the post-mortem with great difficulty. After postmortem in the afternoon, the dead body was handed over to the relatives.
