Woman dies due to elephant attack in CG
Gariaband. The terror of the tusker elephant has been seen once again in the Panduka range of the district. According to the information, two women had gone to the forest to collect wild mushrooms. During this, the tusker elephant crushed a woman to death. At the same time, a woman is injured. Barmat Bai Kumar, a resident of Pond, died in this incident. Mangali Bai has been badly injured in the attack, who has been referred to Raipur after first aid at the district hospital.
As soon as the information of the incident was received, the forest department team reached the spot. After this incident, the department issued an alert in more than 10 villages including Pond, Kookda, Nagjhar. Let us tell you that the tusker elephant has been roaming continuously in the Panduka and Fingeshwar range area for the last one month after getting separated from the Chanda group. After the attack on the women, the elephant is present around the same place, due to which the forest staff is struggling to bring the body of the deceased. Due to the continuous incident, there is an atmosphere of panic in the area.
