Woman Poisons Prasad to Avenge Daughter, Two Hospitalized
Ahmedabad: A woman took revenge on a neighbor’s family who helped her daughter run away from home. She mixed sleeping pills in the prasad. Two members of the family who ate it were hospitalized. The police investigated and the truth came out. (Woman Poisons Neighbors Prasad) The incident took place in Surat, Gujarat. Govardhanbhai, who lives in a luxurious housing society, returned home at 3 pm on April 10. He noticed the laddu prasad at the door and took it inside. Govardhanbhai and his daughter-in-law Kiran ate one laddu each.
However, within a few minutes, both of them fell ill. Govardhanbhai’s health condition deteriorated rapidly. Due to this, he was taken to the hospital and treated on a ventilator. Daughter-in-law Kiran became severely lethargic and confused. After treatment, both of them recovered.
On the other hand, Govardhanbhai’s daughter Isha suspected that something was wrong. So she opened the remaining laddus in the prasadam cover and looked. She noticed that there were three to four pills in each laddu. She told her father about this. When they complained to the police, it was confirmed that they were sleeping pills.
Meanwhile, the police investigation revealed that Ushaben, who lives next door, was involved in this conspiracy. Eight months ago, her daughter had run away from home and married for love. Ushaben suspected that Govardhanbhai’s family, especially his daughter-in-law Kiran, had helped in this. In this context, she developed a grudge against the neighbor’s family. She used their devotion to God for her revenge. She mixed sleeping pills in the laddu prasad. The police arrested Ushaben after learning this during the investigation.
On the other hand, the Govardhanbhai family was deeply disturbed by this incident. They were worried that if they had eaten another laddu, they would have died. The housing society asked the local authorities to evacuate the neighboring family as their lives were in danger. Otherwise, they said that they would have to vacate their house themselves.
