Woman raped in Gurugram, accused arrested by police

Police have arrested a man from Gurugram for raping a woman at an animal farm in the Meham area on the pretext of showing her dogs. Based on the victim’s complaint, a case has been registered against him under Section 64 (1) of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC).

According to the police complaint, the victim went to visit her friend at a local paying guest (PG) in Rohtak on July 5th, where she stayed until the evening of July 6th.

Knowing of her passion for dogs, her friend gave her the accused’s phone number and told her that he owned a dog farm.

The victim stated in her complaint, “When I contacted him to see the dogs, he called me near a village, from where he picked me up in his car and took me to a farmhouse on the pretext of showing me the dogs.”

The complainant further alleged that upon arriving at the farm, the accused asked her to wait in a room while he went out to retrieve the dogs. He returned 15 minutes later, locked the room, and raped her. She alleged that he assaulted her a second time 10 minutes later. According to the complaint, the victim later went to the bathroom, where she immediately contacted both her friend and the police to report the crime.

Inspector Neeraj, Station House Officer (SHO) of Meham Police Station, confirmed that the accused has been arrested on rape charges.
